BCM Attorney Mike Harris Appointed to Hartford, Vermont Conservation Commission

On August 8, 2023, BCM’s newest attorney, Mike Harris, was appointed by the Hartford Selectboard to a four-year term on the Town’s Conservation Commission. The Commission was established in 1990 to identify and protect Hartford's natural resources, educate the community about natural heritage, and foster local environmental stewardship. Among other things, the Commission manages the Town’s 423-acre forest.

Mike joined BCM in June 2023 after leaving a position as the director of the Environmental Advocacy Clinic at the Vermont Law & Graduate School. When not practicing law, Mike has a long history as a conservation volunteer. He is an avid hiker who often assists with the removal of invasive plants on public lands.
