The Forest Society’s Accomplishments in 2019

Jessica Wilson Jan. 9, 2020

This end of the year slideshow briefly touches on the Forest Society’s accomplishments last year and emphasizes their mission “to perpetuate the forests of New Hampshire”. One such accomplishments is the final defeat of the Northern Pass; a proposed 192-mile transmission line that was to run from the Canadian border into the heart of the Merrimack Valley, which would have destroyed some of New Hampshire’s most treasured resources. The legal team at BCM Environmental & Land Law, PLLC, representing the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, led the charge in defeating the Northern Pass project at the New Hampshire Site Evaluation Committee.
